New terrariums

It really is becoming an addiction. I gave myself an hour or two off writing last night and made another one. The jar is a lovely, chunky greenish glass one from an Emmaus in France, but I made the little Fimo houses.

My best friend Nina likes my terrariums, but had warned me never to make her one, as she kills every plant she owns. So for her birthday I made her a knitted terrarium; one she'd never be able to kill!

Grey wool for the stones, a circle of brown felt for the soil, a circle of green felt (to sew the knitting to!), then three mounds of knitted moss. I also combed some lovely 100% wool yarn I had to make the wispy stuff.

Weekend

I’ve been off work ill today. I survived by not eating anything, and managed to lose 5 pounds in the process – so it’s not all bad.
Anyway, I was planning an outfit (in my head) of what to wear on Friday, and I suddenly thought: I can’t WAIT until Friday. Oh my goodness, I’m totally living for the weekend again. I’ve not been this excited to go out all the time since I was a teenager. It’s great. I’ve got a cool bunch of friends who are happy to go out and get wasted every weekend, and who I love spending time with. They all give good copy too (step forward James and Nina)!
After being temporarily heartbroken last weekend (I’ve mended since then), my plan for this weekend is to pull a 19 year old to see if I can, heh heh.

Lovely Nina Pin-up Girl

In the pub last night Nina said the loveliest thing. We were talking about a bloke who everyone thinks is hot (including me) and she said she really couldn't see it, she thought I was hot and if I was straight she'd fancy me. Aww, Nina is really good for my self esteem, and if I was straight we would make a hot couple, as this picture illustrates:



I really have to get Jacqui and Nina together, I think they would make an AMAZING double act!
