Sunny haiku

Yellow gold, the sky
is a bowl with an egg yolk
or a saffron eye.

There's no one here at the moment

The gate to the keep is open,
ushering only the sun and a few birds,
One perches on the ‘you are here’ sign.

Soon they’ll come with boots and sticks,
up the hill to take pictures of the sea.
They’ll scare the blackbirds away.
